The home of wildlife and pet portraits
As a child, I always wanted to create and growing up in the outback allowed me incredible freedom to explore and imagine.
I am primarily self-taught but have had some formal training studying life drawing, colour theory, mixing paint and brush control. I also enjoyed studying how the 'masters' created their pieces and learning how to adapt some of their techniques into my own work.
Art is the best therapy and throughout the process, I find it incredibly fulfilling to see a painting come together. I also find it extremely rewarding to work with my commission clients and help bring their vision into reality and onto canvas.
I have a passion for wildlife and illustration and hope that my works evoke wonder and delight of the simple pleasures many of us share with the natural world.
My primary mediums used are watercolours, pencil and ink, as I enjoy the fluidity of watercolour paint, while pencil and ink allow for me to define details.
I use acrylic or oils on occasion for the painterly quality and feel that these mediums do give.
We treat our pets as part of the family and even when they pass we hold memories that last a lifetime. A beautiful sentiment that drives my passion to create pet portraits for others.
My primary medium is Acrylic paint on canvas and I look forward to working with you throughout the painting process to ensure the essence of the pet portrait is captured.
I also have additional wildlife and contemporary artwork available on my Bluethumb site, you can visit it here
